Gina Perregrino - Voice Teacher

Gina Perregrino is an operatic mezzo soprano, an international performer, and a passionate teaching artist born in Wilmington, DE. She has been praised by the New York Times and Opera News and has been heard on stages internationally at companies like Deutsche Oper Berlin (Germany), Santa Fe Opera, Opera Philadelphia, The Dallas OperaOpera Theatre of Saint Louis, The Atlanta Opera, as well as local companies like Opera Baltimore and Opera Delaware
She was a featured recitalist twice with the New York Festival of Song; a soloist with the Oregon Symphony, the Cincinnati May Festival, Phoenix Symphony, and Saint Louis Symphony; and a 2020 and 2021 winner of the Opera Foundation competition in NYC.
Gina has collaborated with artists like Salmon Rushie; has recorded music for Spotify, Apple Music, and Univisión TeleOnce; and has been featured in a Bollywood film by Nitesh TiwariIn the 2022-23 season, she makes her debut with Seattle Opera covering the leading role in the world premiere of 1000 Splendid Suns, based on the novel by Khaled Hosseini.
She holds a Master's degree in Vocal Performance from the Manhattan School of Music in New York City and is on faculty at the Wilmington Music School. She is an avid believer that classical music and opera should be fun, accessible, and joy-based. She is particularly passionate about approaching singing with a foundation in breath, the body, and the nervous system. Gina's teaching runs the gamut, from beginners and singing for fun to audition coaching and college/conservatory preparedness.
