Aryanna Herasme - Violin, Viola Teacher

Aryanna is a young but lifelong musician, starting in school at age 8 and never stopping from there, now over 13 years. She started off with viola and expanded to include percussion, now harboring a passionate interest for world music and teaching music as an integrated part of a young person’s life.

They started giving free music lessons to local students back in high school, and are currently 3 years into the Music Education degree at the University of Delaware, and has had the privilege of studying under world-renowned violist Elias Goldstein as well as one half of the Quey Percussion Duo, Timothy Broscious. They have competed in other states for orchestra competitions since the age of 14, playing in New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Florida and Massachusetts, participated in the 2019 Master Player’s Festival, have done small ensemble gigs as well as helped teach or guide other ensembles. She has had the privilege of playing with the University Symphony Orchestra and has sang with the UD Chorale and Delaware Symphony Orchestra.

Specializing in violin and viola lessons for the last 3 years, her goal as an educator is to be inclusive towards all and foster a deep, culturally aware and healthy relationship with music as not simply a skill to bring out in a certain setting, but rather a part of one’s life and mind.
